In 2006, a group of young people ranging from ages 8 to 15 embarked on a journey to sing and produce music that would touch their generation with a relevant, positive message. The project developed into an eclectic mix of urban and contemporary sounds called Kidz Faith 2 (KF²): The Takeover. The brainchild of world-renowned spiritual leaders Dr. Creflo and Taffi Dollar of World Changers Church International, KF² is just one element in a conglomerate of projects geared toward reaching today’s youth and children.

“It is extremely vital for us to develop projects like KF² because we are parents and pastors of young children and teenagers. Therefore, we have a responsibility to take an active role in guiding their musical preferences,” explains Taffi Dollar. “As executive producers, Dr. Dollar and I are confident that this music gives positive messages for our youth to listen to and enjoy. Today’s youth are bombarded with many negative messages and temptations stemming from fear, terrorism and even blatant sexuality. So, we feel that it is our duty to give youth a viable alternative to the forces that are out there. Our ultimate goal, as a ministry, is to produce movies, cartoons, TV shows and sit-coms so that Christian youth can be entertained without feeling like they have to compromise their beliefs. Parents can also feel good about what their children are listening to in their rooms and with their friends.”

Scheduled to be released worldwide May 8, 2007 on the Arrow Records label, KF² is unique in that the music was written, produced, arranged and performed by youth. The project also boasts outstanding musical contributions by up and coming producer/songwriters Alexandria and Jordan Dollar as well as Brandin Jay. Under the artistic direction of Natarsha Garcia, many auditioned to be a part of the KF² experience but only 14 of the hottest and brightest young people had the opportunity to go through a rigorous performance-training regimen.

With tracks like the reggae flavored, “You Deserve It,” featuring Hip Hop heart-throb Lil’ iROCC Williams, and the urban influenced, “Get It Out,” KF² introduces a more mature sound than Kidz Faith’s first musical offering. Their commitment to a lifestyle of worship is definitely evident in the group’s delivery of the heartfelt track, “Lover of My Soul.” The entire project is a cutting-edge, relevant testament to the issues that affect this generation.
